  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly offer one of these. You usually lay a wager ($1 is the normal value) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like these are very tempting, they are also incredibly complicated to succeed. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, imagine this- you play 20 hands and lay the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the real game bet in place of a sucker wager. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a wager with greater odds utilizing that $20.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the overall casino advantage from twopercent with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5.26% in American. The single number bet has only a 1 in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you gamble on it, the casino edge can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that was not a error. Because of the large amount of numbers you must choose, it isn’t advisable to gamble on Keno very much. A number of times for fun, maybe. But don’t spend all your money on it or you will quickly find yourself bankrupt.
